Introduction
Welcome to jetline.lk. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our services. By using our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.Definitions
- Company: Refers to jetline.lk.
- Customer: Refers to the individual or entity using our services.
- Goods: Refers to the items being transported.
- Services: Refers to freight forwarding, including door-to-door delivery from China to Sri Lanka.
- Services Provided
- Door-to-door delivery of goods from China to Sri Lanka and from Sri Lanka to China.
- Domestic goods delivery within Sri Lanka.
- Customs clearance, warehousing, and other ancillary services as requested.
- Booking and Payment
- Booking: Customers must provide accurate information when booking services.
- Payment: Full payment is required before services commence. Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, bank card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, etc.), QR payments, and cash on delivery.
- Pricing: Prices are subject to change and will be confirmed when final country customs clearance is completed.
- Customer Responsibilities
- Ensure goods are properly packaged and labeled.
- Provide accurate and complete documentation.
- Ensure goods comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Pay any additional charges, such as customs duties and taxes.
- Company’s Responsibilities
- Handle goods with reasonable care.
- Provide timely and efficient delivery services.
- Communicate any delays or issues promptly.
- Liability
- The Company is not liable for any loss, damage, or delay of goods caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or customs delays.
- Liability for loss or damage to goods is limited to Rs 5000 per shipment unless additional insurance is purchased.
- Air and Sea Shipping Delays: Shipping times may be delayed due to unavoidable causes. The Company is not responsible for delays caused by such unavoidable circumstances.
- More than 5kg Air Shipments: Air shipping packages weighing more than 5 kg may experience additional delays of a few days.
Insurance
Customers are encouraged to purchase insurance for their goods. The Company offers insurance at an additional cost.Prohibited Items
The Company will not transport goods that are illegal, hazardous, or prohibited by law. This includes but is not limited to explosives, drugs, and perishables.Customs Clearance
- The Company will assist with customs clearance but is not responsible for delays or fines resulting from inaccurate or incomplete documentation provided by the Customer.
- Restricted Items: If the Customer imports items restricted by Sri Lanka or China customs, the Company is not responsible for any detainment, high customs charges, or legal actions. All responsibilities lie with the Customer. Customers must check and confirm the quality of goods. The Company only provides freight forwarding services.
- Detained Packages: The Company does not take responsibility if any package is detained by customs.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of Sri Lanka and China.Termination
The Company reserves the right to terminate services if the Customer breaches these terms.Changes to Terms
The Company may update these terms from time to time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes.Governing Law

If the volumetric weight exceeds the actual weight of the package, the charges will be based on volumetric weight. The following is the formula to calculate the volumetric weight:
Length of package (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm) / 6000 = volumetric weight (KG)
- Sea Shipping – Domestic Service
- If the volumetric weight exceeds the actual weight of the package, the charges will be based on volumetric weight. The following is the formula to calculate the volumetric weight:
Length of package (cm) x width (cm) x height (cm) / 5000 = volumetric weight (KG)
- Minimum Shipping Volume: Sea shipping requires a minimum volume of 0.1cbm. If the shipment is less than 0.1cbm, the Customer must take a warehouse receipt and retain it. The Company is not responsible for shipments below 0.1cbm if the Customer does not have the warehouse receipt.
